True, this isn’t that big of a deal for too many people, but for the last 6 weeks or so, I have been a “mobile” employee at Microsoft. Which basically means that when I am in the office, I can grab one of 3 or 4 “Progressive” offices to use while I am there. The nice part is that they have doors. 😉 The down side is that when I am done for that trip, I have to pick up all of my stuff and take it with me. This week I received my very own personal place in the office. I have a cube. It is my cube, and no one else’s. I have the keys to the drawers and I can write stuff on the white board with out fear that it Will be erased. I can leave my books on the shelf, and not have to bring them back and forth with me. I am happy. I am also aware that, apparently, it doesn’t take much to make me happy.

Hey Son, that’s great… I think on the Dilbert web store, they sell inflatable ‘cube doors’ that you can hang in the gap to give yourself some degree of privacy… except it will probably attract 10 times the people asking why you have a door… In any case, I hope you still have that name plaque for your desk…
