Dallas .NET User Group: .NET 3.0 Community Launch Tonight!

Dallas .NET User Group Community Launch Event

With everything else going on this month, I almost forgot! I’m heading to the Dallas .NET Users Group tonight for their official Community Launch of .NET 3.0 / Vista and Office 2007! I’m looking forward to a great night of coding and fun! If you’re in the Dallas area, you should stop by. It’s at the Microsoft Las Colinas Office.

Improving Splat Caleb Jenkins is a Principal Consultant for Improving Enterprises, is a National Speaker for INETA, a Technical Editor for Wrox Press and is a Microsoft MVP. He lives in the Dallas, TX area where he continues to date his beautiful wife and busy himself playing Candy Land and xBox 360 with their four incredible children. Eventually he’ll post some of the gazillion interviews that he's recorded on CommunityCast.tv or blog more... or stop speaking of himself in the third person. more...

Overheard at the event, “If it doesn’t have a namespace, then XML is just angle bracket delimited text files” - Tim Rayburn…. I love that! I’m going to use that again.

After the event, a handful of us went over to the “ Hole in the Wall” for a bite to eat. That was probably some of the best CommunityCast.tv conversations yet! There is just something very refreshing about a bunch of .NET developers talking about .NET 3.0 in the back of a biker / blues bar… nice! I can’t wait to get that video stuff up and running! ;)

Update: I just saw Tim’s comments here: http://www.timrayburn.net/2007/03/09/NET+30+Community+Launch.aspx. Rock on!
