It looks like my friend Erica is teaching a class in Houston with her company. If you're in the area, and are a small to mid-sized business owner than you should go check it out!
Note: This is not a class for programmers/developers - This is a class focused on design and strategy for websites leveraging on line resources like WordPress.

It looks like Corey beat me to it.
“Yeah, someone at the Microsoft Campus has been smoking something to have come up with this idea. Don't get me wrong. This is very amusing; a bit twisted... but funny nonetheless.”
You'll have to go watch the video to understand what he's talking about.
(and in the process you could score your own copy of Windows Vista Business or Microsoft Office System 2007)
Sweet!

12/3/2006 Update: Wow that was fast! It looks like the free copies of Office and Vista are all sold out! Still, the video is still funny... (not for dial up...as one person pointed out to me... I guess not everyone is on FiOS yet!

Are you visually challenged like I am? What colors really work together? I just found this nice web page on Adobe that really helps. Enjoy!

The Ed’s beat me to it. (By almost two weeks! I’ve been slacking on my blogging.)
The latest DotNetRocks! episode is excellent (and not just because I'm in it). Carl Franklin and Richard Campbell were at the TulsaTechFest and interviewed several of the presenters. This is a jam packed episode that really does illustrate the incredible number of high quality people that were all together at one time. It was like TechEd in a box (and in one day!)... probably one of the best DNR episodes yet (skip past the first 5 minutes to hear the really good speakers
)

I’m sitting here at Saturn of Hurst, waiting for my Vue (yes… I drive a soccer mom car… inherited from my wife when she moved up to the pimpin’ leather seats, 6 disc DVD, captain seats, GPS on board nav Caravan for all of our kids
to get it’s oil changed. Sitting here listening to .NET Rocks! streamed to my HTC Wizard and blogging… all over my T-Mobile connection. This little phone is such a work horse! Hold on… my wife just called, I answered, talked, and hung up. .NET Rocks! automatically paused, then started again, and now I’m finishing my blog post. How cool is that?!

I've been telling people for a while that .NET 3.0 will ship with Vista (which is still true!), but it was never tied to the Vista launch. Kudos to the .NET team for completing the framework ahead of schedule. Now you can go get the .NET 3.0 framework and tools to develop with!
Happy Coding!

That reminds me… I’ll be at the Fort Worth .NET User Group tonight. I’ll be talking about .NET 3.0 and developing Next Generation Windows Applications. Stop by if you’re in the area!

Over the last year a couple of people have asked me to compare .NET and J2EE. Up until now, I had to walk through some of the differences and trade off’s… now I can just send them here. Great job MSDN team!

Scott Guthrie presented at the North Dallas .NET Users Group on Thursday. He did a fantastic job covering some of the lesser known features of ASP.NET 2.0, ASP.NET AJAX, the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit and the new LINQ features that will ship with the next version of Visual Studio. Some of us grabbed dinner with Scott before hand and had a great time - plus there were over 300 people at the user group that night! A big thanks goes out to the ever present Giovanni of the Agency Blog for all of the pictures!
