One of the new Microsoft frameworks that I have talking about lately is the end to end, AJAX application frameworks, codenamed “Atlas”. Up until now, you could download it, but not put it in to a production application. I am sitting here at the MIX'06 conference where the Go Live license for Atlas was just announced! Now go get it and have fun!

Happy Coding!

Customize and Extend VSTS Webcast

I recently did a couple of webcasts around customizing and extending VSTS. This was a lot of fun, I got to skip around to a couple of areas that we usualy brush past during a VSTS overview. For example, creating a custom check-in policy, extending the architect designers to support other platforms and hoocking in your own code to run on server events (like code check in) are areas that we go right past… and I usually say something like, “and these can all be customized and extended.” This was a webcast where I got to drill down in to some of these areas. Here are the slides for the talk.

Caleb Jenkins, is a recognized Silverlight expert and Senior Architect Team Lead at Six Flags Corp, a National Speaker for INETA, a Technical Editor for Wrox Press and is a Microsoft MVP. He lives in the Dallas, TX area where he continues to date his beautiful wife and busy himself playing Candy Land and xBox 360 with their four incredible children. Eventually he’ll post some of the gazillion interviews that he's recorded on CommunityCast.tv or blog more... or stop speaking of himself in the third person. more...
